Brief Biography of Alissa Anderson Garcia
Alissa Anderson Garcia is a policy analyst at the California Budget Project (CBP) in Sacramento. Her current work includes analysis of labor market trends in California and policies that affect the state’s workers. Prior to joining the CBP, Alissa was a research associate at the Urban Institute in Washington, D.C. She also held a research internship at the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy and provided research consulting to several organizations in Los Angeles, including the International Longshore and Warehouse Union and the Lewis Center for Regional Policy Studies. Alissa received her master’s degree in urban planning with a concentration in regional and economic development from the University of California, Los Angeles and her bachelor’s degree in sociology from Bryn Mawr College.
